A story of passion
The AOP Cahors vineyard of Château Le Brézéguet is located on the Plateau du Quercy Blanc at an altitude of 300 m. The soil is composed of clay and gravel limestone. The cool and sunny autumns allow harvesting in optimal conditions.
Château Grand Chêne is an AOP Cahors vineyard of a dozen hectares in one piece located in the town of Bélaye, 30 kilometers from Cahors, renowned for the quality of its wines.
This vineyard is planted on the Causses du Lot, on the hillside on siderolithic land very rich in iron. It thrives in the micro-climate of this part of the Lot with a traditional variety of Cahors wines: 80% Malbec, 18% Merlot and 2% Tannat.
We are from the French West Indies and in 1999 decided to take over a small wine estate in the Lot. Many were surprised to see Guadeloupeans leaving their island to come and work in the vineyards. After studying viticulture and oenology, it is with passion that we cultivate our vines and produce our regularly awarded wines.
